Gomez is a small group of lakes on Gomez Creek,
in the Pala valley, home of 5 Indian tribal reservations.
Pala is on the SW slope of Mt Palomar, east of Fallbrook.
Glimpses of the lakes can be seen from Hwy 76, or from the road shoulder.
There is no access to this water unless you belong to the tribe.
Unless perhaps if you visit the nursery at the E end of the lakes,
and you are a persuasive talker.
It's a beautiful place if you can get away from the roadside
It looks like someone is building on the hill above it.
