This private pond is in the Mt Helix pond neighborhood (east of San Diego).
We went down a long narrow drive that serves about a dozen homes,
some looking like they were in the Forties
and very very dodgy condition.
Across the road was a palatial mansion with this pond.
My wife stood in the back of the truck
and took these photos over the fence.
