This pond is owned by the Green Head Club,
a private gun club.
It's located east of the S1 intersection with Interstate 8,
just west of the Border Patrol Inspection Point.
If you are on the shoulder or in the far right lane
you can see the pond from the highway.
However, it's only open to members.
It's gated, fenced and monitored.
I was tipped off about this pond by one of its users.
It looks like a very nice place;
There’s nothing like a body of water to brighten up
and cool down a hot San Diego County day.
