UNNAMED POND 1
We were a couple miles uphill from Milagro Winery and its ponds
and spotted this body of water on the Google map.
Is there water or not in this pond? Which do you believe?
In any case, it looks like it might be down in the hollow.
Due to some map-reading confusion,
I backed about 1/4 mile down a nasty dirt road
to (definitely not) find this (probably not) pond.
But the sign just above the pond site strongly advises NO TRESPASSING
and backs it up with an image of mountain biker and mountain lion.
So we gave it a wave goodby and walked back to the truck.
At least I was pointed in the right direction to get out of there.
