The Sad Death of a Pond
As seen on the map below,
this pond was surrounded by homes,
and was part of the now-closed
Carmel Mountain Ranch golf course.
The pond is now a mess, choked with reeds,
overgrown with weeds and abandoned.
It's an eyesore, and no doubt a hazard.
There were no signs telling about it,
warning us to stay out,
or promising future restoration.
